Chester County Health Department

The Chester County Health Department (CCHD) is one of six county health departments in Pennsylvania. Since 1968, CCHD has provided personal and environmental health services to residents and visitors so that they may grow, live and work in healthy and safe communities. CCHD's team of 100+ staff works throughout Chester County and collaborates with community members and organizations to monitor, maintain and improve community health. The efforts of CCHD and its partners are reflected by Chester County's consistent ranking among the healthiest counties in Pennsylvania as determined by the County Health Rankings and Roadmaps program. Additionally, in September 2016, Chester County was selected as one of 50 finalists in the national Healthiest Cities and Counties Challenge sponsored by the American Public Health Association, National Association of Counties, and the Aetna Foundation. While Chester County is, by many measures, a healthy county, CCHD remains committed to improving the health of individuals and the county as a whole.
