The Department of Intercommunity Health Coordination (ICH)

The Department of Intercommunity Health Coordination (ICH) is a division within Delaware County Government and is responsible for implementing a health coordination program throughout Delaware County. The mission is to promote wellness, protect safety and prevent disease, thereby advancing the public health and safety of all Delaware County residents. ICH acts as a referral and resource center for public health issues for the residents of Delaware County. The department handles requests received from the community at large as well as from agencies and businesses concerning various health, environmental and safety issues. Working together with the three Delaware County health systems (Crozer Keystone, Main Line Health/Riddle Memorial and Mercy Fitzgerald Hospitals), Delaware County human service organizations and the District Attorney’s Office, ICH is able to direct the community to health and safety-related programs offered throughout Delaware County and the surrounding region. Through active participation in a wide of range of public health and community wellness-related coalitions and committees throughout Delaware County and the southeastern Pennsylvania region, ICH is able to share, as well as gain valuable information for county residents.
