Multiple values may be selected (you may need to hold down the Shift or Ctrl key). However, this menu may be limited to a single selection when creating a chart or map.
Note: Hispanics can be of any race. Starting in 2013, race of decedent was derived from multiple race selections. A person is Multi-Race if they identify as more than one race. Prior to 2013, race of decedent was derived from a single race designation.
Important: In non-census years and for the year 2020, race/ethnicity population data are only available for a few counties (see table below). Therefore, rate output by race/ethnicity will be limited to those few counties in non-census years and for 2020. In addition, Asian/Pacific Islander population data are not available before 2000, and Multi-Race data are not available before 2013 (see Population description for additional details related to 2020 population data).
