FAMILY PLANNING PROGRAM
 
The Family Planning Program provides support to the statewide family planning clinics operated by
 
Pennsylvania’s four regional Family Health Councils.  
 
 
The following is a list of the four regional Family Health Councils and the counties they serve:

The Family Planning Program goals include preventing high-risk pregnancies among sexually active
adolescents aged 17 years and younger.
 
Clinical services provided at the local clinics include:
           Physical exams;
       Routine gynecological care;
       Pregnancy testing;
       Contraceptives;
       Cancer screening and examinations;
       General health screening;
       Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) diagnosis, treatment, education and counseling; and,
       HIV/AIDS education and screening
           Education and counseling
